Greenore Golf Club
Greenore Golf Club is a traditional golf course that is over a hundred years old. Golf was first played here in 1896 when this club was founded. The club started with just nine holes but was quickly expanded to eighteen holes after only three years in 1899. This course is unique in that it features special holes resembling those found on links courses.
The holes are guarded by pine trees of considerable height, making this place a worthy challenge for golfers of all levels. Six of the holes are located close to the Irish Sea where golfers have to play their shots carefully to avoid the ball going into the sea. The 14th hole is the signature hole of the course and has been known to wreak havoc on the nerves of even experienced golfers.
