What is the dress code for golf courses and restaurants?
The majority of courses in Ireland require soft spikes. Tailored shorts are permitted on the course but must be worn with knee-high socks. Jeans & T-shirts are not permitted. Smart casual clothes are acceptable around the clubhouse area, however some clubs require a jacket & tie to be worn but not many.

Can we get caddies or carts at each course?
Ireland golf and leisure can request caddies for groups if required, but unfortunately we can not guarantee them. Motorised carts are only available at some courses & are not generally available at links courses. Pull carts are available at most courses.

Do we need handicap certificates?
The handicap limit at most courses is 36 for ladies and 24 for men. We recommend that all golfers carry a current certificate in case the starter at a course requests it.

Shopping Hours?
Monday to Saturday- 9am to 6pm. Thursday in Dublin & Belfast-late night shopping to 8pm/9pm. Thursday and Friday-late night shopping in most places. Sunday- many shops open 12.00pm to 6pm. Duty free shopping is available at all International airports.

It is important to realise that rain showers can occur at any time of the year. Summer temperatures range from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius (60 to 75 F). Spring & Autumn temperatures average around 10 + degrees Celsius (50+ F)
